Update Add the employee_tbl table and enter the criteria as below.Field and Table are one you want to update, Update To is the new value you want to put.If you have never used Microsoft Access date functions, take a look at this quick Beginner's Guide to Microsoft Access Built-in Date Functions that I recently created and shared on our Office You Tube channel.If you find yourself constantly entering whatever today's date is in your Access forms or tables, you are wasting valuable time.You can add records to a table by using the datasheet view of the table or by inputting them from a form view.Before you can add records to the table, you need to open it.You will save yourself time, and eliminate the possibility of manual errors.

You can always update table records manually by viewing the table and then enter the value.

Instructions for creating an update query (paraphrased from Microsoft Access Instructions): Create a query with the table(s) containing the data you would like to update, in our example it is the Employee table.
